Act test preparation what is the secret ingredient
The common myth about ACT test preparation
is that you only need to study hard in order to achieve the scores that you need to get into the college or university of your dreams. Yes study is an important part in getting your score up and ACT prep classes can be beneficial, but is it the only important factor?
There are various ways that you can prepare, there is act online prep, taking practice paper tests or going all out and hiring a personal one to one tutor.
ACT prep classes
vary considerably in cost and it is advisable to ask of proof that scores have actually been improved from the various providers before signing up with them. If you take these precautions then you could end up saving yourself a lot of money.
Each one has it's own merits but these alone are not enough to improve scores to the required standard. Whichever way you choose though, there are other factors that you must take into consideration. These other factors could be the difference between a pass and a fail, so they need considering very carefully.
A study carried out 2009 by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) showed quite an alarming statistic. The report showed that the average student score after doing this ACT test preparation was less than one point.
Like I mentioned earlier your preparation is not all about study, it actually has a lot to do with your lifestyle and what you do in the preceding time before your test. Now you may wonder why I am saying this but if your mindset is right on the day, then your scores have a definite chance of increasing. Just think about it for a minute, if you are feeling good going into your test then more often than not your scores will increase.
What you eat, what you drink, what you wear and what you do on the morning of your test are all factors that can sometimes be a decisive factor as to whether you pass or fail. You therefore really do need to incorporate all of these act test tips when doing your ACT test prep.
No matter how much study you do towards your ACT test preparation, if your mindset is not right, there is a good chance that you will fail. Your lifestyle in the period leading up to the test is just as important as how much knowledge you have. You therefore owe it to yourself to ensure that you are prepared both mentally and physically as passing the ACT test can have a great bearing on your future.
