Why do Women in Business Need a Social Networking Platform
Many women in business need a social networking platform, and particularly one that is developed for women, because there is a better understanding of what they really need. That is even truer when the women are budding entrepreneurs. Beginners starting up a new business require a lot of support and nurturing at first. So what is one way that they can get a social presence on the world-wide web for their new company without spending a lot of money?

The answer lies in what is called an online social networking platform. This is a service business that focuses on allowing you to build a website presence that reflects social relations among people. A platform provides you with the ability to build what is essentially a website for your new business that incorporates the shared interests or activities of different groups; for example, moms, sports, music, or even tattoo artists. So instead of having to hire a web development company and pay a fortune for a new website, then hire someone in social media to handle all of that marketing, you can really do it all by using a social platform in one location.

Depending on which service and the level of membership you use, you can buy features such as the ability to blog, run forums and chat to your tribe, as well as upload photos and video. The beauty is that it is all interactive and you can build your business as you develop new relationships. Most experts in social media recommend that you begin to build a social following for about a year or more before you even consider monetizing at any level. Some platforms will even allow you to offer advertising so you can make some additional money with your web presence down the road.

Women starting up a new business can easily create a website on a social platform that consists of a profile representation of themselves as well as include their social links such as Twitter and Facebook. Most of these platform providers give you the opportunity to interact with other members via email and sometimes instant messaging. This allows your users to share ideas, activities, events, and interests within their individual network and begin building relationships with each other. It also allows for the potential of viral growth as friends begin to share your network with others.

Ideally you want to choose a social networking platform that is in addition, an active network for women who are collaborating with each other to succeed. For example, BraveHeart Women is an online provider that also has annual events, ongoing seminars, and meets and greets around the country. They also provide an extensive library of knowledge where you can watch inspirational videos that answer critical questions women entrepreneurs need to know about. In some cases, these videos are about celebrities who have also attained business success.

But in most cases these networks are full of women who once were where you are now as a new entrepreneur needing guidance. So finding or creating a network of active collaborators is very valuable thing to do in growing your new firm.
