Which Projector Rental Is Right?
When you are involved in public speaking, you know that a projector can make the difference between getting your message across or leaving your audience confused. Unfortunately, good projectors are expensive and heavy to be carrying with your from state to state. If you intend to just rent the equipment and set it up yourself, you would better know a lot about projectors to get the best piece of equipment for the job. Should you get an LCD projector or would a DLP projector rental better suit your needs? How many lumens does your particular application require? To help you make your decision, you might want to learn how one of these machines works.

Let us start with the difference between LCD and DLP type projectors. If you are picky about the type of television sets you buy, you have probably already heard of LCD. It stands for Liquid Crystal Display and, like the transistor, it revolutionized the world of consumer electronics. LCD screens and projectors use little crystals to change light waves, which then creates crystal-clear color images. When you use an LCD projector, you can actually hook your computer up to the projector and show an entire room of shareholders, potential customers, or business associates anything on your computer screen, including a PowerPoint presentation.

DLP literally stands for Digital Light Processing. To create an image, tiny mirrors on a microchip tilt. The tilt determines the light's wave length, which then determines what the image will look like. This type of projector is great for displaying films and high resolution images because they have a superior contrast when compared to LCD. Like the LCD projector, DLP projectors also allow you to connect directly to your computer or laptop. LCD offers slightly superior color saturation, a sharper image, and is more light efficient. DLP projectors are best known for their improved portability, less complicated design, and superior contrast. Both kinds of projectors are great at trade shows, speaking engagements, and meetings. If you need to know more, go to a good projector rental website and look at the product specs.

When you go to buy or rent a projector, you will likely come across the word lumens. Basically, a lumen tells you just how bright the projector's light will be. Put simply, each lumen is equivalent to the amount of light that one candle flame emits. Luminosity is the most important thing to consider when getting a projector rental. You need a projector that is bright enough to display your presentation to a roomful of investors but not so bright that it makes your audience uncomfortable.
