What Breast Cancer Therapy Is Best
Our world offers so many more options for breast cancer therapy than ever before in time. Just a few decades ago if a woman was diagnosed with breast cancer her first breast cancer treatment was to have her complete breast removed with all the lymph nodes. Then she automatically underwent extensive chemotherapy treatments. She had no voice in the situation whatsoever. She was told, "It is either we do this or you die". Those times seem like the dark ages now because so much has changed in the medical industry and in our personal mindset.

It is still common for a woman to want the cancer out of her body right away. There is nothing hard to understand about that. But now she can do research on her own on the Internet to find out what the different types of breast cancer therapy are available. She can then share what she has found and talk to her oncologist and about breast cancer treatment team about what she wants in her process of healing. Women today can talk with other cancer fighters any where in the world and find out what is working and what isn't. Hearing other women's stories provides a great source of support and strength.

The optimum healing plan for all women would include complimentary breast cancer therapies such as Yoga, laughter therapy, art, working with animals and spending as much time in nature as possible. These activities cause the brain to feel happy which then spreads to the rest of the cells, organs and systems. Our immune system is boosted when we are happy. People that are unhappy for long periods of time have reduced immune systems and are highly vulnerable to disease and illness.

Bernice is a woman who has survived breast cancer and has been clear in her body for more than five years. She found that the chemotherapy was not only causing her to feel so sick she didn't care if she lived but she was chronically depressed. Feeling sad and hopeless is not who Bernice has been all her life. Her family was concerned so they helped her find a complimentary breast cancer treatment that would lift her spirits.

Water color painting had always been something Bernice wanted to take time to learn but she found she was so busy with her three children and her job that there was little time to do what would nurture her soul. Bernice was fortunate that she had such a loving family support system; this is, in itself a strong breast cancer therapy. They took her to the local community college to sign up for classes. Bernice says today, "Those painting classes saved my life". Painting was something she could do to get her feelings and prayers out onto paper so they weren't stuck going round and round in her head.

It seems sad that so many women wait until they MUST spend time taking care of themselves before they do. Historically, women are the caregivers of the world. In a perfect world there would be no breast cancer and no need for breast cancer therapy. We can do today things that are nurturing to ourselves, things that make us feel joy. We never know what's coming around the corner. We can strengthen our body, mind and soul by living in a happy state of mind even if we don't need breast cancer treatment. Hopefully we never will but we will have more to share with those we know that do.
