Video marketing a great way to promote your business

Video marketing is one of the best ways to promote your business or website and is much more effective than the traditional article marketing route. There is nothing wrong with article marketing and combining them both together is actually a very powerful method.

However it is the video that on it's own packs a bigger punch than an article as you can show your prospective customer the product that you are promoting. What do you think would be more interesting to a prospective customer, a five hundred word article promoting the features and benefits of a product or business or a visual presentation of the same thing.

My personal opinion is that I would much rather physically see how something is going to benefit me rather than reading it and trying to visualize the same thing in my mind.

If you are just starting out on the promotion road then unless you have a large advertising budget your options are sometimes limited when it comes to getting a video produced. Often it is better to avoid the large video production companies and look for the smaller independent ones. There are some great deals to be found if you know where to look.

A good place to start looking is on some of the Internet marketing Forums as there are often members running their own small video production services. These people offer to produce your videos for a fraction of the cost compared to the larger corporate companies.

The one thing you need to do though is to make sure that you see a free sample of their work before parting with any of your money. This way you will get a feel of what they can do and whether it will be suitable for your needs.

When first starting out you do not need to spend a lot of money on video production as all you need to get across to your potential customers are basically the features and benefits of your product or business. You can do this type of video marketing by just getting a short promotional video of about two to three minutes showing some of the features and benefits and leaving it like they do in the soaps on a cliff-hangar so to know the rest people will have to click through to your site.

A very cost effective way of getting your message across to others is to have a video made of a slideshow. This will normally consist of a selection of slides and images with a spoken narration describing what each slide and image represents. This is really good if you are promoting a new product and are just testing to see if there is a market for it.

Video marketing is also a great way to get your keywords an improved search engine ranking as there is often much less competition than there would be if you were trying to rank using an article. As we all know traffic is the lifeblood of our business and without the exposure for our product or business we may as well not exist online.
