Baby jumpers and bouncers are an important part in the arsenal of toys and gadgets for the first year of your newborn. I don't know your situation, but we just had her first newborn little less than a year ago and baby bouncer and a baby jumper that we use has proved itself time and time again. My wife and I both work out of our house, so it is important to have time for our daily work and phone calls etc.... When it gets busy and the baby sitter is not around, the baby jumper is a great place to put my newborn daughter. Heck, she loves it! Most of the time she is already in it.
For example, If the phone rings or client has to come by the house or the office we simply put the baby in the
baby bouncer. The bouncer offers a way for the baby to spend its time playing with many of the different toys and gadgets on the bouncer. Our bouncer has all types of sounds, doors and book pages that turn and also an apple that pops up like a Jack-in-the-Box. This literally can provide hours and hours of entertainment and has proved invaluable in helping us get things done and being more efficient around the house.
I know as a parent there are just some times when you simply need some extra time reflect or cool down if you are angry about something. The bouncer is also great for this. You are not trying to neglect or get rid of our child by putting them in the bouncer. Maybe you need to go check on your other child or scramble the eggs for your breakfast or answer the phone, it is just a great spot to put the baby for a few minutes. Heck, sometimes they play happily for 45 min. It's really up to you and depends on the demeanor of your child. Baby bouncers and jumpers work great and I highly recommend them. The Graco product is really one of her favorites. The Chicco LX I couldn't be happier with. We have had two or three of these baby bouncers and I personally like the bouncers better than the jumpers.
Another great thing about these jumpers is that it keeps them away from TV or having to use some other electronic media to stimulate your child. I know for awhile Baby Einstein videos were the rage but I find all of that just to much and it leads to bad habits down the road for your child. Sometimes there is just too much stimulation but the bouncers offer a great way to tone it down and still keep them occupied.
Over time however your baby will become apprehensive when getting in the bouncer or jumper. As with anything even great things come to an end and your baby may not want to do them again. However, this can be overcome by simply switching
baby jumpers and bouncers. We noticed initially maybe after three months, the baby became a little bit bored with the bouncer so we sold that one at a local thrift store and ended up getting another bouncer that she loves all over again. Then we got another one after the next two months. So if boredom sets in keep switching toys and baby jumpers and bouncers your baby will be content and happy.
