You want to have a beautiful
Rose garden, don't you, my fellow Rose lover friend. I don't know of many things that bring me more satisfaction than caring for rose bushes and watching them grow. Smelling the delicious fragrances of the different varieties growing in my yard is almost enough to make me feel tipsy. When I first began following my passion I hardly even knew how to plant Rose bushes. It has taken trial and error, research and patience to learn this fine art (and science). I love many flowers but this exquisite flower has captured my heart.
The Rose is a flower of the heart and seeing them blooming in my garden makes my heart fill with joy. Planting Rose bushes was one of the best things I ever decided to do to stay young. All the stress of the world releases from my body when I am in my Rose garden. To me, they seem magical and they lift whatever worries had trapped themselves in my mind. Do you share my feelings?
Some people have a green thumb and a lot of luck so they can plant Rose bushes and never have a problem. That wasn't the case with me but whenever I felt challenged in my caring for Rose bushes I consulted the Internet, my neighborhood nursery and my books about
Roses. There was the time I had a major infestation of aphids that sent me running as fast as I could to get expert advice. Yes, I had some damage to my plants but we recovered. Then there was the leaf curl that alarmed me because it seemed that it would kill them. A Rose lover online helped me so much and we still have a friendship after three years.
Noobie Roses
Even new gardeners can learn how to plant Rose bushes and have a beautiful Rose garden. It is best to ask your local garden center expert for the species that will grow the happiest in your area. There are types that are better, for example, in very cold climates. Landscape Roses are one of the easier types for Rose lovers that don't want to struggle from the start. I love the varieties that have strong fragrance (not good if you have allergies) like the Old Garden types. These are usually hardy and disease resistant.
Just The Facts
The basics are that you need to plant Rose bushes in an area that has a lot of morning sun with 6 hours of sun daily. The ph of the soil is important, between 5.5 and 7. There are wonderful Rose nutrient-rich mulches and fertilizers that will help your Rose garden grow to fit your dreams. Good drainage is an important factor also. If you take the extra care when planting Rose bushes they will reward you for a long time.
Oh, The Joy
The technical details aside, though, what I want you to get is the delight and pleasure you will have, dear
Rose lover, when you are caring for rose bushes in your own Garden. Enjoy!
