Projector Rental For Conference Event
Whether you are an event planner or a business owner, there are times when you will need a high quality projector to express your ideas and bring life to those boring facts and figures. Unfortunately, a good projector does not come cheap. To get the best piece of equipment for your particular application, have the AV company pick it out and set it up for you. If you would rather do things on your own, though, you should learn a lot about these complicated machines. Which would be better for your needs, an LCD projector or a DLP projector rental? How many lumens does your particular application require? You might want to learn how these things work.

Let us start with the difference between LCD and DLP type projectors. If you spend a lot of time in the electronics store, you have no doubt heard of 'LCD' in the past. It stands for Liquid Crystal Display, in case you were wondering. Liquid crystal displays use mini crystals to bend light and create a desired image. Using an LCD projector rental, you could show an entire room of potential customers a presentation video you have saved on the computer or a well-crafted PowerPoint. Texas Instruments hold the exclusive patent on Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology. With this type of projector, thousands of tiny mirrors tilt on a microchip. Each tiny mirror correlates to a pixel. This type of projector also allows you to connect to a computer or laptop. LCD projectors offer a crisp, sharp image, better color saturation, and is very light efficient. DLP projectors are best known for their improved portability, less complicated design, and superior contrast. Ultimately, both types are great for conventions, tradeshows, meetings, and presentations. If you are still a little confused, visit a projector rental website for additional information.

When you go to buy or rent a projector, you will likely come across the word "lumens". A lumen is simply a unit of measurement. It is used to describe how much light a source will produce. Put simply, each lumen is equivalent to the amount of light that one candle flame emits. That means that a 5,000 lumen project is as bright as 5,000 candle flames. Luminosity is the most important thing to consider when getting a projector rental. The projector has to be bright but not too bright. Unless it will be used at a large event, a 2,100 to 5,000 lumen projector is ideal.
