With Atlanta search engine optimization, content is king.
That is because Google wants relevant content to show up when people search for a particular keyword or key phrase. On the World Wide Web, your content has to be relevant in order for people searching a topic to be interested in your website. The world of SEO has changed over the last ten years with the increased need for optimized keyword results. Search engines, too, had to change to accommodate the increase in websites. Google, and many other search engines, read the content on your page and determine how relevant it is to each search query. Article writing, therefore, has become an effective means of optimizing a web page for a desired keyword.
There are three ways in which articles are written differently.
1. The readership is different. In years gone by, articles represented a way for internet users to learn about a specific subject. The articles were generally written for the general reader and were somewhat formal and informative. They were created to be similar to articles written for a newspaper or magazine. When the needs of the consumers began to change, however, article writing had to change with it. Articles are no longer boring or broad and topic. In fact, those types of articles do not do well in Google because they are not as relevant as shorter articles. Through extensive research, Google has found that shorter, one topic articles written in a casual tone offer the best relevancy.
2. The Demands are Different. When you write for SEO purposes, you have to write a bit differently. Now, you cannot simply write whatever they want to write, and post it up in multiple locations and claim to have lots of unique and valuable content on the web. Google is smart enough to catch you when you try to duplicate content. Thus, the 100 posts of the same article will only be considered 1 original content article in Google's calculations and the 99 others will be considered syndicated or groups of content that add value to the original article. Therefore, to become an effective SEO article writer, you cannot produce just one article. Google is looking for the most recent, unique, innovative articles. Article writing has become an art with subtle elements of strategy within it. Though there is a lot involved in search engine optimization, if you can write effective articles, you are halfway there to becoming an expert.
3. The technology has developed. Search engines such as Google have had a huge impact on the way articles are written. Over the years, Google has developed the ability to "read" the content on a web page. It does not just count the number of words or pick out certain keywords. It looks at the article as a whole. Google is looking for casual content and websites that hold visitors for longer periods of time. The principle is that visitors will stay on a website to read articles. The longer they stay, the more interesting and valuable the content must be.
