Being a manager is a tough job and, understandably, taking notice of every action an employee takes is impractical. Finding time may be difficult but it is vital to productivity to let employees know that their efforts mean something to the company.

While running a business is hardly what most would call fun, productivity will suffer if management does not make an effort to bring a little fun into the workplace. It is a proven fact that dopamine levels, which are associated with a wide range of cognitive processes, are increased when an individual is participating in an enjoyable activity. This means that having fun not only lightens the mood but also makes for a great boost in level of alertness and productivity.
