Having a yeast infection, or Candida overgrowth, is one of the most frustrating and debilitating ailments. While there are many ways to cure candida
very few work consistently and even fewer work permanently. What Causes A Candida Overgrowth?

2) Being Sick;
It may seem like a catch 22, but having a pre-existing autoimmune condition is a major cause of Candida overgrowth. Ironically in many autoimmune conditions the first symptom to be noticed is a recurring yeast infection.
If there is a nutritional deficiency in your diet or you have digestive issues that stops the absorption of nutrients then this will encourage a Candida overgrowth.
4) Recreational Drugs
These all affect the absorption of nutrients and place stress on the immune system.
5) Synthetic Hormones.
Rather than killing off the good bacteria, synthetic hormones actually encourage a Candida overgrowth. These are found in âThe Pillâ as well as Cortisone, Prednisone, Progesterone to name a few.
6) The overuse of Antifungal medications
Whether oral or topical, these pharmaceuticals are actually producing resistant strains of Candida. While they may be treating yeast infection
symptoms, there are plenty of forum discussion that would suggest that the bulk of people who treat with these end up with a recurrent infection.
