I was just coming into network marketing during this explosion of Twitter, and I remember the training at the time were focused on getting as many followers as you can and dropping links that lead to sales pages.
Later marketers started creating multiple Twitter accounts and automating most if not all of their tweets. I did this for a while myself, but I did not get as many results that I wanted from doing this. So, my Twitter account laid dormant.
However, I had access to an incredible training on Twitter advertising
that was not technical and focused on actually communicating with those on Twitter than getting followers and automating everything.
To get started, we need to discuss your Twitter profile. This is the first thing people will click on to learn more about you. The very fist thing is the picture. Be sure to use your picture with you smiling. You want to use a picture that is very friendly and attractive.
You can play around with the background if you want. There are several websites that will help you design your background of your profile.
The next important thing is the description of you. You have 160 characters to describe yourself. Use words that people can relate to. You can use locations, things you have done or experienced, and hobbies. Be very specific here, so people can relate easier to you.
There maybe a few things you want to automate, and you can do this free at socialomph.com. I recommend not automating your tweet. Be a real person and engage people on Twitter, you cannot do this using automated tweets.
You may want to automate auto-follow. This helps automatically follows people who follow you. This is just to save time. You can also automate a direct message to people who follow you. Many marketers use the direct message incorrectly. 9 out of 10 marketers will send a sales page.
The best direct message I have seen is to use your Facebook asking the person to connect with you on Facebook. It looks like this: "You are cool:-p Connect with me on Facebook (then your facebook link) - I love connecting with cool peeps.
