Home Inspected Before You Purchase
A black sedan crept down the street, parking in front of a small white house. A "for sale" sign was staked in the well manicured front lawn. Robert Offinger stepped out, appraising the building that would become his first home. At twenty five, he would have never had the pleasure of owning his own home and, knowing little about building maintenance, decided to hire an Atlanta home inspector. He would have heard horror stories of roofs collapsing, entire plumbing systems failing, and electrical fires spreading uncontrollably. He had a lot to learn in life but this one thing he knew already. He was not going to pay eighty thousand dollars just for the headaches that come along with owning a home.

The Atlanta home inspector was kind enough to walk him through each examination. Like a trained physician, the man went through each system, pointing out potential hazards and giving tips for good maintenance. The inspection seemed to be going well until the central air conditioning unit was evaluated. A faulty motor could have caused a major fire sometime down the road. Fortunately, it would be a minor expense. The inspector also found mold in the basement and, with further examination, declared that a major portion of the kitchen sub floor was rotted. Over the course of a few hours, the young inspector brought to light every blemish that the previous owners had failed to mention or simply did not know about.

Atlanta home inspectors can be seen as "Superheroes". With experience and knowledge unprecedented in other industries, these men and women can save a new homeowner thousands of dollars by revealing common enemies like rot, mold, hidden fire damage, and faulty wiring. They may not be able to soar through the skies like an eagle or bend steel in their bare hands but, at times, it seems they can look into the future of any home, giving homeowners an incredible advantage. Would not it be nice to be able to prevent a problem before it even developed? That is exactly what a good Atlanta home inspector does.

If you want to be sure you are making a solid investment, you will need a home inspector to review your potential new home before you sign to purchase it. They will go through your new house with a fine tooth comb, searching from attic to basement for signs of trouble. Some of the better inspectors can actually test for water and air quality, check for mold, and ensure that levels of Radon are kept in check. Buying a home can be a scary experience. But, it is nice to know that, when things get tough, you can rely on a home inspector to get you through those tough decisions and into a house that you can feel safe in.
