Heart Worm Medication for Pets
Heart worm medication for pets can be very effective but it is also toxin in your pet's body that you need to be careful of.

Some parasites that infect dogs and cats can cause serious health problems and in some cases even death. One of the dangerous parasites for you pet is heartworms. Failing to recognize the symptoms of a heartworm infection may lead not only to severe illness in the dogs and cats but also to spread of the disease. This kind of parasite is more serious than some other worms, ticks or fleas. It can be life threatening to your dogs and cats which in reality is completely preventable. Parasite infections that are not discovered and treated in your pet may also eventually spread to humans.

You can find heartworms in dogs mostly within the walls of the heart. However, in many cases this parasite can also be found in larger blood vessels of the body. Your dog may suffer from heart failure, heart disease, liver failure and also kidney failure. Without undergoing any treatment, heartworms can eventually kill your pet. It is difficult to determine whether your dog has heartworm infection only by searching for symptoms, because symptoms may not always be present. Therefore, it is best to have your dogs and cats tested on a regular basis, at least once a year, for heart worms. Some dogs and cats show symptoms such as coughing, fatigue, labored breathing and also weight loss.

Heartworm infection starts with a harmless mosquito bite. It was originally thought that dogs with long hair were less susceptible to heartworm infections simply because of the thought that it is less probable that mosquitos would be able to penetrate through the hair to bite the dog. However, this theory has been proven to be erroneous. In reality, most mosquito bites that cause heartworm infection in dogs and cats takes place on the underpart of the abdominal region. Even long-haired dogs usually have relatively little hair in this area.

Heartworm treatment in dogs as well as in cats is usually very dangerous and complex. Before beginning the treatment itself, you must make sure that your pet is actually healthy enough to go through it. Any smallest organ problem can cause death during treatment. Certain heartworm preventative medicine can also cause death if given to dogs whose blood test turns out to be positive with larval worms. Preparing your pet to go through heartworm treatment involves treating other organ problems, getting rid of the adult worms first and generally keeping your dog healthy enough to prevent complications.

The best and safest way to prevent dogs and cats from getting a heartworm infection is to protect them from mosquito bites especially in areas where mosquito populations are high. Protect your pet's sleeping quarters with screens to prevent repeated bites. You may use repellent spray on your dogs and cats in the house. However, it will have little effect if the animal is in the open. Taking blood tests periodically is the most dependable precautions measure you can take because you will then be able to find out early infection in your pet which seems to be completely heatlhy. Before giving toxic heart worm medication to dogs and cats, it is best research all your options first.

How Electronic Cigarettes Work By: R. Millard Hume -
E-cigarettes are considered smokeless cigarettes because there is no burning tobacco. E-cigs provide the "smoker" with a nicotine and flavored infused vapor. This short article describes how e-cigarettes work.

What are e-cigarettes?
E-cigs typically consist of a cartridge, an atomizer, and a battery unit. The battery powers the unit, and is typically a rechargeable lithium ion variety. The atomizer, the heart of the system, heats the liquid solution, without burning, into "steam" which can then be inhaled. The cartridge contains your choice of flavor, and a nicotine solution of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin.

Some manufacturers combine the atomizer and cartridge into a single unit nicknamed, "cartomizer". The combined unit provides two benefits, less parts to fuss with, and a fresh atomizer for each unit. Once the unit is assembled, simply turn the unit on (or in the case of higher quality units, the system will turn on automatically with each inhale) and inhale vapor.

No smoke with this smoking alternative, which makes it one of the more popular Cigarette Substitutes.

The main feature that makes e-cigarettes one of the more popular cigarette alternatives is the ability to adjust nicotine levels. Some units require that you fill the cartridge while others (especially those with cartomizers) let you buy pre-filled and controlled nicotine levels.
