Hair Weave Hairstyles
Hair Weave Hairstyles are more popular than ever.

If you were to write a newspaper article entitled, "Hairstyles 2011" or even "Hairstyles 2012", that article would certainly include a topic about Hair Extensions and Hair Weaves.

While most people know them as extensions, weaves are the same synthetic or real human hair attached to your current hair to give you more length, volume, and style.

There are two main types of hair weaves. The question you must ask yourself is do you want a temporary fix for the Prom, or your wedding, or are you looking for a longer term application for everyday use.

The temporary solution comes in the form of a clip-on or sometimes referred to as clip-in extensions that attaches to your existing hair with a comb and clip.

The long term solution, which typically lasts about two months, is to attach the weave to your hair using some form of micro bonding. This method typically uses a safe adhesive that attaches strands of weave to your existing hair.

Which method works and looks the best? Both methods can be styled to look natural and appealing. By following some of the hair weave techniques taught by hair extension specialists, you can get the hairstyle you want.

The first thing you need to consider is how to match the weave color to your own. An exact color match is not always needed, because you may want to add highlights or low-lights. Is your current hair straight? Properly applied hair weaves can add curl, bounce, and volume.

After applying the hair weaves, there are three basic hair weave hairstyle techniques to practice. The first one is to use a gentle brush. Using your hair brush to blend the two hairs together will go a long way to making the hair extensions appear as natural as possible.

The second hair weave technique is to use your hands to gently twist your hair and the weave into their own natural curl to get a blended look.

And finally, using a curling iron to curl your blended hair will make it seem more natural and help to disguise any lines.

Hair weaves and hair extensions are a great way to create a new look. With a little practice, it might be you on the cover of Hairstyle 2012.
