Getting Rid Of Bats
Having trouble getting rid of bats? Bats finding a place to hangout in your house or business? It can be a tall order to get rid of them once they've settled in. Bats are actually great for your property because they feed on insects and other pests around your area. On their own they really assist you but once they seek residence in your home they can bring more risk to you and your family. The urine and droppings from bats can really affect you and your family's health as well as your pets if you have any. Some bats may even be infected with rabies.

Below are some precautions to take in order to keep bats from getting access to your home!
  1. Late at night bats will fly out to prey on insects.
  2. Use screen mesh to cover the places where you see bats going in and out.
  3. Covering their entrance points is key and after you've done that the next step is to clean up the mess the bats have left behind (bat droppings and bat urine).
Be extremely careful with the removal as the droppings and urine from bats contain contaminants and if they are already causing odors in your home it puts everyone inside at risk.

There is a strong, foul smell from bat urine and bat droppings. Strong enough to seep through walls and ceilings. Even if you do not smell any sign of bat guano or bat urine does not mean that it's not there. It could be building up in areas that you cannot detect. Once the odor starts to set in throughout the living quarters the damage has been done and will only get worse.

If bats somehow fly into your house and startles everyone just open up the windows or doors where the bat is flying around to allow it to escape. Still having trouble getting the bat to leave? Try this then. Use a thick pair of gloves (thick enough to protect from a bite) or a large towel. Gently capture the bat and set it free outside. If you put too much pressure on the bat you could kill it.

If you are trying to get rid of bats and are blocking off access to your property during the fall make sure you take caution as it is their breeding season. Blocking off access may keep their offspring inside and they will eventually die.

Contacting a professional bat pest control expert is the best option for removal bats from your property. With the solid expertise and long term experience to getting rid of bats it's better to count on the professionals that trying to do it yourself.
