The urine and droppings from bats can really affect you and your family's health as well as your pets if you have any. Some bats may even be infected with rabies.

- Late at night bats will fly out to prey on insects.
- Use screen mesh to cover the places where you see bats going in and out.
- Covering their entrance points is key and after you've done that the next step is to clean up the mess the bats have left behind (bat droppings and bat urine).
Be extremely careful with the removal as the droppings and urine from bats contain contaminants and if they are already causing odors in your home it puts everyone inside at risk.
There is a strong, foul smell from bat urine and bat droppings. Strong enough to seep through walls and ceilings. Even if you do not smell any sign of bat guano or bat urine does not mean that it's not there. It could be building up in areas that you cannot detect. Once the odor starts to set in throughout the living quarters the damage has been done and will only get worse.
