Burn Fat and Gain Muscle- Secrets Revealed

Without a doubt, nowadays more people than ever are overweight than ever before. These people are greatly increasing their chances of falling ill with some of the common weight related illnesses such as Diabetes, Cancer and Heart disease. However When posed with the question of "how do I burn fat and gain muscle", people often do not know the answer.

How do we approach this problem?

Our first port of call should be to look at what we are eating. Most of us know that we need to be cutting down on sugars and fats, however often people make a massive mistake of cutting back in a major way the amount of food they eat.

When we starve ourselves or drastically reduce the calories we consume, our body goes into starvation mode, where it stores any fat we have to survive what it believes is a famine.

What we really need to be doing, and what is suggested by many specialists in the field, is to eat 5-6 small meals each day. This speeds up our metabolism which is a vital part of losing weight. It is also thought that a diet that is higher in protein, and lower in starchy carbs like bread and potatoes is useful when trying to burn fat and gain muscle. Of course fruit and vegetables are also important for nutrients, vitamins and fibre which will aid our general health.

When exercising for weightloss do not assume that running, cycling or other cardio training is the only solution for your flab busting. In fact research says that it is actually resistance or weight training that boosts fat loss the most.

This is because by training with weights we are boosting our metabolism, which continues to help us burn calories even after we stop training. The other reason behind this is that the more muscle our body has, the less fat it holds on too.

Losing fat and gaining muscle does take time and dedication. Once you start to see results things become easier. In fact once you start seeing the fat disappear, you will not want ever to see it return!
