There are many people who don't even want to discuss Cancer but these breast cancer stories can uplift our spirit and show us that we humans truly are courageous, spiritual beings. Of course it is shocking when a woman first hears the words, "You have breast cancer". It is something all of us hope we will never hear. But how we process the cancer experience can make a huge difference on the treatment process and the outcome. If a woman has breast cancer support from her family, friends and church she has a good chance of fighting off this dread disease.

The doctors have taken an oath to give us the best breast cancer help they can. What is interesting is that our mindset can make the medical treatments even more effective. If a woman has a negative, angry, depressed heart and mind it seems that the medical industry can do little to help her. Whereas if she is optimistic, motivated and happy she can actually make her illness shorter and the treatments occur as more powerful. It leaves doctors amazed to see this happen right before their eyes.

This phenomenon shows us that our mind and our spirit truly do rule over our body. These breast cancer stories encourage even those of us who don't suffer from a deadly disease. A woman named Kim, only in her early forties says she was clear from the delivery of the bad news to the final victory evaluation. "I am in God's hands" she said. She meditated on scriptures, surrounded herself with her church friends and believed that God was taking care of her. She didn't waste time asking, "Why me?". It is breast cancer stories like this that give all of us hope daily.

Working with our higher power and maintaining a happy outlook are two of the best types of breast cancer help we can give ourselves. It is as though our cells know we are empowering them with love and strength. For those who do not have a belief in God or a higher power it can be a tougher journey. Some view faith as a sign of weakness but it is a wonderful thing to envision ourselves in the arms of a much bigger spirit that cares about us.

A cancer survivor named Linda says she went on with life as though everything was as great as it was before the diagnosis. She woke up happy in the morning, meditated on beautiful music and laughed with her companions. It is imperative that women fighting cancer have strong breast cancer support.

Olga had a recovery process that was filled with complications. There were times she says that she asked God to let her die because she felt so horrible. But her overall attitude was, "God knows what is going on and is fully capable of healing me". She also spent a lot of time meditating and memorizing uplifting passages from scripture. She says she had a knowing deep inside that it was not her time to go yet.

These breast cancer stories show us more about ourselves. We can make everyday of our lives more beautiful and abundant by adopting the attitude of heart theses women have modeled. It has been said that our thoughts empower our bodies or tear it down. We can see here living examples of this. Most of us probably hope to live to be one hundred years old and never need breast cancer help. But we can take the gift these brave women have given and imagine in our minds joy and contribution. Then we will be living this life fully alive.
