Breast Cancer Is Scary
Karin stood at her kitchen window looking out at the beautiful sunny Spring day. Chirping birds were flying from tree to tree. There was a slight breeze that made the air fresh and sweet. A tear trickled down her face. She wondered "Would she live a long life enjoying these moments or would she die of breast cancer? Karin had been given the diagnosis just the day before that the tests had come back with bad news. She had two darling children and a loving husband. She didn't want to leave them. She wanted to live the beautiful life she had created.

Scenes similar to this are lived out all over the world every day. When they first learn that the villain of breast cancer is living in their bodies and wants to take over the gloom settles in lie a blanket covering the happiness they knew just moments before. Everything seems uncertain and scary. For many this stage transforms to a fierceness that says, "I'm going to beat this monster!" This is the attitude that can make all the difference in the world on her healing journey. It usually stimulates the desire to learn all the Breast Cancer Information she can.

We are not living these days as people did forty or fifty years ago when the doctors word was the revered gospel on our lives. We may get the education needed about breast cancer from our doctors but the decision of how we want to heal our bodies is ours alone. We can choose to be involved in our battle against breast cancer. We can find a cancer specialist that we feel will listen to us and give us feedback on. We can find complimentary therapies for our treatment plan that will empower us, helping us to have an unconquerable spirit, peace and joy.

Many testimonials from women who have gone through the dark night of breast cancer say that they learned so much about themselves and what life is really about that they will never be the same. They share that found out how strong they really are. They realized that happiness is a choice not some attained quality when we get what we want in life. Amazingly enough some even say that they are thankful for their experience with breast cancer.

Doing all we can to learn about breast cancer removes some of the mystery and fear from the healing process. There are complimentary therapies that increase the endorphin levels in our brains which makes us feel happy. In studying breast cancer information we learn that a happy mind brings our cells into a happy place and strengthens our immune system. It is through the most challenging chapters of our lives that we can learn how to nurture our bodies and our souls.

Karin decided to take her destiny into her own hands and learn all she could about breast cancer. She decided she would follow a conservative allopathic treatment plan and include complimentary therapies that she learned could make everything the doctors were doing more effective. She liked the ideas of learning to meditate and she had an inner artist that she had never released because she "didn't have time".

She now knows that we only have today. She plans on spending all her days, whatever the number, doing what she loves to do. She also has found that a life lived feeling happy no matter what is going on and laughing a lot makes life worth living.
