Baby Boomers and Investment Income Stream
There are over 70 million baby boomers in America, their presence the driving force behind our economy. Boomers are not just supporting the housing market now. They have been keeping it going for the last thirty years. Something changed, though, as this large generation grew older. It was not, as many would suspect, the é─˛Great Recessioné─˘. No, it was something much more natural. Boomers, in general, began to focus on different types of real estate, choosing to invest their money in a radically different way than they had in the past. When they were younger, they focused on buying a great house that would last them a lifetime. Now, with retirement rearing its ugly head, many have decided to invest in properties that would allow them plenty of opportunity to remodel or give them a stream of income without the need to work.

Many inexperienced home buyers somehow have the impression that it is just a waste of time to hire an Atlanta home inspector. They read articles on the internet, pick up books in the library, and talk to friends and relatives. With their new found 'expertise', they think that they can spot every single problem. The problem is, though, that no amount of study can match the years of experience a good home inspector has under their belt. A good home inspector will have seen every problem in the book and will know which problems are common to your geographical area.

If you are thinking about doing without a home inspection, think again. A home inspection carried out by a true professional can save you a lot of money. To ensure that you are getting the very best deal on your new home, an inspector will comb through your house checking every major system along the way. Rotted sub flooring may escape your attention when making a cursory inspection of your new home but it would be spotted immediately by a good Atlanta home inspector. A minor issue such as a leaky pipe could easily become a major problem if not corrected immediately. It goes without saying that a good inspector can spot this problem and recommend a repair.

If you do not install a new vent pipe when you add a new bathroom, foul smelling odors may seep into your home. All drain systems need a vent. The vent pipe is necessary to keep the flushing mechanism working correctly for proper toilet flushing. Sometimes, though, a do-it-yourselfer will think it is unnecessary. While a home buyer may miss this problem, an Atlanta home inspector can tell you that an improperly vented drain will allow sewer gases into the home. You cannot go wrong hiring an inspector. They have the experience and specialized equipment to check every home system for operational safety.
