Baby Boomers Are Smart Home Buyers
The baby boomer generation encompasses everyone born from 1946 to 1964, which means that men and women that are currently 65 years old belong to the same generation as 47 year olds. Interestingly, the media and pop culture treat everyone in this large generation as having the same preferences, the same attitudes toward money, real estate, and work ethic. As with any crass generalization, though, a closer look at this demographic reveals some very interesting differences, namely, the way that younger baby boomers view real estate is vastly different than the way older boomers do.

Many inexperienced homebuyers somehow have the impression that it is just a waste of time to hire an Atlanta home inspector. They will read a few books, search the internet for informative articles, or talk to friends they believe are 'in the know'. Incredibly, they actually believe they will be able to spot every potential problem before they buy the home. The thing is that reading articles or asking friends a few questions cannot compare to the years of experience a good home inspector has. Home inspectors have likely seen every problem in the book a thousand times and know which problems are common in your geographic location.

When done thoroughly, an Atlanta home inspection can literally save you thousands of dollars. Home inspectors check everything in your new home, from the basement to the attic, to make sure that you are getting a good deal. A rotted section of sub flooring in the kitchen that may have evaded your attention would never go undetected under the watchful eye of a good Atlanta home inspector. A minor issue such as a leaky pipe could easily become a major problem if not corrected immediately. A good inspector can easily spot this problem and recommend a repair that will help keep your home in top shape.

When a new toilet is installed, you have to install a vent pipe with it. If you do not, foul smelling sewer gases may leak into your home. All drain systems need a vent. If a new vent is not added, it can also interfere with a toilet's ability to flush. A do it yourselfer will sometimes forget this step, though. Without an Atlanta home inspector, a homebuyer may miss this problem and spend a good deal of money to correct it after the home has been purchased. When it comes to the safety and health of your family, hiring an inspector is always the best bet. With years of experience and specialized equipment, they will check every system to ensure safety.
